Before You Travel

Your safety is our priority. Please review these important guidelines before your journey.

When NOT to Fly

Are 36+ weeks pregnant (or 32+ weeks with twins/multiples)
Had recent heart attack, stroke, or surgery (check with your doctor)
Have flu-like symptoms, prolonged cough (2+ weeks), fever above 38°C
Experience chest pain, severe breathlessness, or confusion

During Your Flight

Keep medications in hand luggage
Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated
Walk regularly on flights 4+ hours to prevent deep vein thrombosis
Stretch legs and wiggle feet every 30 minutes
If you need oxygen during flight, request 3-5 days in advance with medical form

Pre-Surgery Preparation

If you take blood thinners (Aspirin, Warfarin, etc.) - may need to stop temporarily
If you smoke or drink alcohol regularly - stop 1 week before surgery
If you have allergies to any medications
If you have underlying conditions (diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, asthma)
